Goddess No More – 2015 Live Performance

Gold Divider

Spider and Michael wrote and performed Goddess No More in their band Red Wedding (1981 – 1985) and recorded it with the band in 1984.

Michael’s lyrics are based on a real person they knew, a goddess that fell off her pedestal, but they have never revealed who that person is and never will. Friends have their suspicions as to who that person is, but Michael won’t confirm.

Playing bass with Michael and Spider in this version is Ian Williams.

It was filmed about a week and a half before Spider died from cancer in May of 2015
