Michael wrote the lyrics to this song when he was just 20 years old. He and Spider put it to music in the late 1970’s.
Capsules Of Love is about a future in which people will stay young forever, popping feel-good pills and having out-of-this-world sex; the kind of world a twenty-year-old like Michael would envision!
This is one of those songs that followed Spider and Michael through many bands, and they recorded it as a demo for their band Red Wedding in 1981.
Normally Spider would play a kick-ass solo near the end, but without a full band to back them, and because he was feeling weak and losing feeling in his fingers, he omitted it.
Keep in mind that this was filmed just two weeks before Spider passed away from liver cancer, in May of 2015.
